Mark Spicoluk (born 1979 in Edmonton, Alberta) founded and played bass for the band Closet Monster from 1997 until December 8, 2005. Closet Monster reunited to play Wakestock on August 8, 2009. Spicoluk established the indie punk rock label Underground Operations in 1995.[1][2]
During his period with Closet Monster, Spicoluk played for Avril Lavigne and Sum 41. Spicoluk left Lavigne's band in 2002 to focus on Underground Operations and Closet Monster.[3]
Spicoluk works for Gene Simmons's new record label, Simmons Records.[4] He appears on MuchMusic's reality show disBAND[5] and works at Universal Music Canada and sub labels as Senior Director of A&R.[6] He is president, founder, and owner of the record label/management company Underground Operations.[7]
